The Guardian tries to pick 5 SF novels for people who dislike SF

Making lists of the "best of" anything can be tricky at best. Here are the Guardian's picks for SF novels that might appeal to non-SF fans. Not sure I agree, but it's still an interesting choice. Anyone care to challenge this list with your own suggestions? Noticeably missing are some of the really big names like Clarke, Asimov and Heinlein. What's with that?
