It sometimes seems as if piracy of e-books is becoming epidemic, but it's probably more like a bad cold that won't go away. BookOS.org is the latest site to be tagged as a provider of pirated editions, suggesting that any legitimate book site needs to police its own collections more thoroughly.
The practice of scooping any and all e-book titles from any source started with Barnes & Noble when it first offered the Nook. They wanted to have an impressive collection of titles to choose from and were not that picky about where they came from since e-books were more rare back then.
