BookOS.org - another online site with pirated e-books.

It sometimes seems as if piracy of e-books is becoming epidemic, but it's probably more like a bad cold that won't go away. BookOS.org is the latest site to be tagged as a provider of pirated editions, suggesting that any legitimate book site needs to police its own collections more thoroughly.

 

The practice of scooping any and all e-book titles from any source started with Barnes & Noble when it first offered the Nook. They wanted to have an impressive collection of titles to choose from and were not that picky about where they came from since e-books were more rare back then. Just the same, as technology has improved so should the processes used and today there is no excuse for this kind of thing. Here are the rest of the details (click on the photo):
