Agincourt - Bernard Cornwell Tom Clancy goes medievil, or how I learned to stop worrying about the French and use a crossbow. If you like military narratives based on well researched and documented historical facts, you'll like this one. Cornwell has a long list of historical novels and this one shines but warning, it is very long on military description and short on plot and character development. Most of the book is given over to the events leading up to the battle itself and seems flawless in its documentation. They are supposedly making a movie of this due out in 2013 and it will be interesting to see the visualizations of Cornwell's detailed descriptions of seige warfare. It's not for the faint of heart and has to be taken in small doses, but it's worth the effort.
