What they're reading at Gitmo
Since this site is all about books and who is reading what, I thought it might be interesting to show the library collection at Gitmo where the al qaeda prisoners are being kept. A visitor snapped some shots recently and smuggled them out. Click on the link below to see all the photos.
There are approximately 18,000 volumes in multiple languages plus dvd's, magazines and video games. Browsing not allowed however, requests must be made from the librarian who will navigate the multi-room collection and retrieve things on demand. Sounds like how they do it at the NY public library.
This is NOT intended as a political post, there is nothing controversial in the photos.
